WRIA 1 Monitoring Stations Map
An effective long-term comprehensive monitoring program is essential to measuring progress and success of actions implemented as part of the WRIA 1 Watershed Management Project. This map shows the locations of monitoring stations for water flow, water quality, and climate necessary to address the over-arching goals of the WRIA 1 program. There are basin specific monitoring (complementary) programs that are not shown on this map. The WRIA 1 Long Term Monitoring Plan strategy is a work in progress and will be updated as water resources issues change. The strategy will also change as we incorporate habitat monitoring in cooperation with the WRIA 1 Instream Flow/Fish Habitat Technical Team and WRIA 1 Salmonid Recovery Steering Committee. Here you will find information such as the station ID, gage type (recorder, telemetry, manual), funding agency (Washington State Department of Ecology, United States Geological Survey, Environment Canada), and the period of record. Many of these stations are linked to real-time station data, located on the funding agency's website. Click here for the full Report.
